Rain, rain ...

... and it's not going away. It's been chucking it down here again today. It was much the same yesterday: alternating between bright sunshine and torrential showers but today we've had the added spice of some BFO thunder and lightning.

We were intending to do a long walk this weekend. Today in fact as the forecast on Friday was marginally better for today than yesterday but in the end we went out on Saturday afternoon, just from Horningsea over Quy Fen to Lode (a variation on one of our favourite walks). We got rained on heavily twice, luckily there were trees nearby, especially the second time by Lode mill where it chucked it for some time while we sheltered in a thicket of trees next the mill.

But the consequence of that walk is that Beth got a swollen ankle. It was down this morning but still not quite right so we decided to postpone today's walk.

A good choice in retrospect.
